went out into our storage area today to retreive all of our containers and boxes...encountered more dirt and bugs and gross stuff than id really like to admit.  so after hosing down all of the containers, and setting them out to dry in the sun i was finally able to start some packing.  it goes a little something like this:

I've accepted the position of Music Director and morning show co-host at WEQX in Manchester, Vermont.  It's a totally unique, totally independent alternative station, and it's pretty much my dream job.  It's considered to be a part of the Albany, NY market, but the signal covers 4 states.  And, yes, they stream online too...weqx.com. 

I'll be heading up there by the end of next week.  The current plan of action is that I'll be renting a room or studio apt. for a few months while Chris finishes up a project here in Fayetteville and then we'll make the full-on move.

I spent a few days up there at the beginning of the month and it's an adorable little town that apparently has world class skiing and golf.  Neither of which I've ever done before...but I guess I could learn! It's different from Fayetteville in every way, shape and form....and that is definitely a plus!

A job like this is why I got into radio in the first place...I couldn't be happier!

ive been listening to the national's new album on aol music and it is unbelievably good. dark. mysterious. and the vocals are incredible.  it comes out tomorrow.  i must have it.

not so very impressed with the new bravery.  its yawn-inducing on first listen.  maybe itll grow on me. 

whenever the sephora catalog comes in the mail i have two very strong, very immediate reactions - complete and utter joy, followed by crushing disappointment, knowing that i cant really afford to purchase any of the wonderful products contained within.  its such an object of lust ...i flip the pages and fantasize about the version of me that has perfectly bronzed and glowy skin, whiter teeth and bouncier hair....how my brown eyes would really *pop* if only i possessed the newest super-special eyeshadow trio made just for me...

guys have porn. girls have sephora. sounds fair and balanced to me.  

how embarrassing is it to find out that after months, or even years of singing along to a song that you've gotten the lyrics completely wrong. one example that stands out for me is til tuesday's voices carry. i always thought she was singing 'this is carrie' even though the TITLE OF THE SONG IS VOICES CARRY.  working in radio i get people calling with wrong song names and lyrics all the time.  its pretty amusing.  this is kind of old, but its the first time ive ever seen it, and it is so funny because we've SO all been there.
