i got a haircut today.  not sure how i feel about it yet.

having to get up at 5:30am on a saturday should be outlawed.  especially when you get up as early as i do all week.

on a cereal kick recently.  honey nut cheerios and raisin bran for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

unpacking is a giant pain in the ass.

burrr. i might have to turn on the heat tonight.  winter is coming.  not sure how i feel about it yet.

if i develop acute anxiety like meg white does that mean i can get out of work too?

softball is over.  we were undefeated until the very last game.  then we lost.  we still got a trophy.  wanted to join a bowling league, but the mixed leagues are on friday nights.  that doesnt work so very well for me.  maybe next year. yeah, theres only one bowling alley in a 30 mile radius from where i live.

just got a gym membership.  guess that means im going to have to start working out.

i missed interpol on monday night because i was sick.  that sucked.

i was not so impressed with the season premiere(s) of its always sunny in philly.   

looking forward to prison break next week.

mom and dad and aut are coming to visit at beginning of next month.  i can hardly believe it myself.

damn, that was a LOOOOONG 7 weeks without the internet.  but im finally back up and running.  i never want to do that again.  between the internet connection, the new directv service and dvr, i may not leave the house for the next week.

random stuff:

so you probably heard about stereogum's ok computer tribute/cover project. pedro the lion dude david bazan has some sort of side project called black cloud...he/they do let down....its fantastic. really.  ive listened to most of the songs, and surprisingly dont hate most of them.

cant get enough of the new editors album.  it makes me want to cry its so good. its the piece of work i was hoping for from interpol, whose album i just cant seem to get into.  but im going to keep trying.

this saturday is cracker, the lemonheads, the fratellis....should be good.

next wednesday i hop on a plane and come home.  cant wait.  

for the first time ever last night i was on the winning side of the mercy rule in softball....the score at the bottom of the 5th was something like 27 to 2.  it feels good to win.  what doesnt feel so good is the sweaty catchers mask.  thats right, just call me pudge.  i dont hate it as much as i thought i might, except for the sweaty 15 lb mask that totally obstructs my view.  i have a new appreciation for good catchers. hopefully i wont be stuck behind the plate all season.  but if we keep winning like this i guess i dont have much to complain about.

happy 4th.  if yer up early im holding down the fort at work from 6am till noon. and i promise not to play any of these

looking for a place to live has been crazy stressful, but it looks like ive got a place nailed down.  phew. should be moving in by the 10th.  unfortunately, ill be living without furniture or "stuff" for about a month.  should be interesting....

bought a microwave at a garage sale yesterday (cause a person cant live w/o a microwave for a month) - which they call "tag sale"s around here - it was marked 10, i asked him if hed take 7, he said yes - i was very pleased with myself and my bargaining skills.  then i get the thing home and open it up and theres a little mini boombox in there.  bonus! they must have put it in there to transport it more easily and forgot.  either that or they have some very interesting culinary ideas.

i got recruited for a softball team! my first practice was last monday and our first game is tomorrow.  i couldnt move for 3 days after practice.  i hope its not quite as bad this week.  and i hope we win! but either way im just glad to be playing so soon after moving to a new place.  glad i brought my glove and bat and cleats with me

drove to albany to dress shop for emilys wedding today, got a little lost, ended up adding almost 1/2 hour to my drive time, and didnt have any luck in the dress department. but i got to have taco bell for lunch, so it was all good. (there's only one fast food place in manchester, and its mcdonalds.  ick.)

bought my plane tix for em's wedding...im getting in the evening of wed july 25th, and flying back here the day after the wedding.

musically speaking, im in love with alexi murdoch...he's the new nick drake.

when doing some housekeeping i discovered some editors rarities that im digging...heads in bags, colours, you are fading, french disko.

theres probably more but im too tired from shopping and driving to think anymore.
