remember that song from the wmhw days? it was my introduction to gomez... and tonight i finally get to see their infamous live show in charleston, sc.  but it being sunday, and chris being a football addict, we aren't able to leave here till the giants game is over at 4ish.  im hoping they turn it around in the 2nd half otherwise chris is gonna be in a bad mood all night (score at halftime: 17 to 7, eagles).

ive heard great things about charleston as a city, so tomorrow we're gonna do a little exploring, before returning to our regularly scheduled lives.

i havent been out of college THAT long...but i cant even imagine some of this stuff

maybe its more of a money thing than a time thing, but can you imagine getting dropped off on campus in a limo? or having a service do your laundry or clean your dorm? sure it would have been nice, but isnt half the idea of going away to school learning to do this stuff on your own.  and freshman dorms with granite countertops and plasma tvs...a big step up from the towers, thats for sure! 

thanks to robin i got to go see the black crowes and tom petty for free tonight. the crowes sounded remarkably good considering theyve lost 2 members in the last month or so.  tom and the band played almost 2 hours and they rocked. good times!

im not sure if i should be worried about myself or not.  since ive been back in fayetteville, ive only "gotten ready" like 3 or 4 times.  most days i know im going to be going to the gym or out for a walk in the crazy heat/humidity at some point, and im not really going anywhere or going to see anyone, so why bother? i shower everyday after the walk/gym...sometimes even twice a day, so im like, you know, clean...but with this constant ponytail/naked face thing, i barely recognize myself.  i better be careful, this could be a slippery slope. its also kind of liberating to not have to factor in an hour of prep every time i leave the house.

chris and i were going to travel to charlotte next week to see the damnwells, but i think the plan has changed.  instead of charlotte its charleston(sc) and instead of the damnewlls its gomez.  we saw the damnwells earlier this year, and i dont love the new album.  ive never seen gomez and have heard their live shows are stellar. 

reminder - sunday is grandparents day. 

aut's bachelorette party is saturday.  i really really hate that i dont get to be there.
