wow.  its almost the end of the year. much to my dismay, we're still living in fayetteville, and the job situation isnt quite ideal, but other than those 2 *minor* issues, its been a good year. lets review:

5 trips home to detroit totalling over 2 months of q.t. spent with my family and friends...seriously the best thing ever. i consider myself truly lucky to have had the freedom to be home so much.  to be able to be involved in all of autumn's wedding fun (we've already forgotten about the bridezilla moments).  to have friends who were willing to stay out late on school nights and went out of their way to make sure my visits home were nothing but fun.  how often in a person's adult life does an opportunity to 'vacation' like that come along? next to never. which is why it was so very cool.

not too shabby

on my way to work tonight i stopped and got a fountain pop.....44oz of super yummy diet coke goodness. the thing about my car is the cupholders are too small for such a massive cup, so i have to put cups of that size inside the compartment btwn the 2 front seats that is actually meant to hold 6 or so cds .... well apparently the structural integrity of this particular cup wasnt so good because when i pulled the cup out to take a drink about 20 minutes into my drive, i feel something wet dripping on my leg.....i turn on the light in the car to discover theres a hole in the bottom of the cup and the contents have almost completely emptied into this center console cd holder thingy....all 44 oz of it.  so not only did some of it spill on the carseat and on me, but now when i get home in the morning ive got to figure out how to extract 44oz of pop from the middle of the car without making a huge sticky mess.

plus when i got to work i had no pop to drink.  i was pissed.

does not make me happy:

i waited in the doctors office for TWO HOURS today for a work physical that took all of 90 seconds to complete.  i was pissed. (in order to earn a living and not have to get a "real job" im going to start substitute teaching again. wish me luck.)

at work somebody stole my monster energy drink from the fridge. who does that? those things are like 3 bucks each.  i was pissed.

just booked plane tix for my holiday trip home that i originally didnt think was possible.  i get in on christmas morning at 11am and am staying thru friday afternoon.  looks like we'll be hitting up the motor city bowl at ford field on the 26th and then heading to luna for depeche mode video appreciation night after the game.  im thinking there might need to be a wardrobe change somewhere in there.
