I've accepted the position of Music Director and morning
show co-host at WEQX in Manchester, Vermont. It's a totally unique,
totally independent alternative station, and it's pretty much my dream
job. It's considered to be a part of the Albany, NY market, but the
signal covers 4 states. And, yes, they stream online too...weqx.com.
I'll be heading up there by the end of next week. The current plan of
action is that I'll be renting a room or studio apt. for a few months
while Chris finishes up a project here in Fayetteville and then we'll
make the full-on move.
I spent a few days up there at the beginning of the month and it's an
adorable little town that apparently has world class skiing and golf.
Neither of which I've ever done before...but I guess I could learn! It's
different from Fayetteville in every way, shape and form....and that is
definitely a plus!
A job like this is why I got into radio in the first place...I couldn't be happier!
More updates as I get up there and get settled!
