i think i might be having a quarter life crisis. but, if thats the case, the good news ill live to be like 104.
the worst job in the whole wide world has got to be working behind the deli counter at the grocery store. those people always seem miserable. when you ask for a half pound of turkey sliced thin they react as if you've asked them to bear a surrogate child for you or something....dude, its your job. i know it sucks, but there have to be benifits. ya know, like all the leftover and day old meat you can eat.
pearl jam was on snl this past saturday... uhhhh eddie, 1994 called and it wants its wardrobe back.
we're having staff pictures taken for work tomorrow and im freaking out because i have nothing good clothes-wise for a 'head shot'... i ransacked my closet and hate everything. and i severly dislike having my picture taken. im not like some people who outright refuse to have it done, but im not naturally photogenic and im dreading this whole experience. maybe i should have a few drinks before i go in, help me loosen up.
do have something to look forward to tomorrow....the arrival of evil amber!

i hate cleaning. i smell like a combo of soft scrub bleach and lemon pledge and i cant stop sneezing. life in general is a filthy dirty nasty existence. i cant believe i was living with all that dust all over everything. and the microwave looked like there were exploded intestines all over the inside. it doesnt anymore. it almost looks like new.
its 92 degrees right now. ridiculous. im gonna go to the grocery store. hope its open.i know that its easter, but it doesnt really feel holidayish to me. guess its because there were no hidden eggs to search for and no crazy huge feast to stuff myself silly with. probably better off. though i did get all kinds of cool easter presents from my mom in the mail earlier this week!
theres a new style section on americanidol.com where you can get all the info on how the contestants put together their looks from week to week. much to my dissapointment theres still no info on how to get into ace's pants.

so i went to best buy and picked up the new flaming lips and morrissey yesterday. i was really excited about the lips album after listening to the first 2 songs. my brain couldnt comprehend the level of greatness this album could possibly reach based on the sheer weirdness/wonderfulness of the first 2 tracks. unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. with the exception of the w.a.n.d.
i do appreciate however that the lips have some of the most ridiculous song titles ever.
on another musical note, i can't get over the fact that the members of my favorite ex-band catherine wheel are all still making music, just not together. and whats obviously missing from 50 ft. monster(brian/neil ex-c.w.guitar/drums)is a great voice, and whats obviously missing from rob dickinsons solo stuff is the depth and intrest and point of view of a couple other great musicians.
robs solo stuff is ok, but im bored with it. because after a history of making such interesting music, theres not a whole lot there to be excited about. its flat and predictible and besides parts of wishville, catherine wheel was anything but.
as a guitar player who can barely play the basic chords of fleetwood mac's rhiannon at 25 percent of its original speed (i took the song and slowed it waaaaay down in cool edit/audition so i could play along with it) i guess i really dont have too much room to criticize. but dont worry, that wont stop me from doing it.
10 pm on a saturday...guess ill go start some laundry. am i cool or what?!

im such a slacker. i still havent gone to best buy to get the new flaming lips cd. but it has kinda been a busy week...
i intended on picking it up on tuesday, the day it came out, but those plans were sidetracked cuz that was also the day my friend kim's baby decided to come out, and babys take precedence over cds. she's the first person ive known as an adult that was really a close friend to ever have a kid. and it was really cool and weird and interesting to see her go through the whole pregnancy....and finally little drew is here! hoping to get to visit again today, they're coming home from the hospital....
and its been a crazy week workwise, with deliveries and presentations and meetings and reports and spots to produce...and everybody at work has a really nasty cold that im praying i dont pick up too. yes mom, im taking vitamin c!
thats all for now.
