one of my ex-coworkers from dvd is featured this week in one of the big trades, all access. scott herrold. if you have a login for allaccess.com and you know him you definitely need to go and check out the interview. his picture is on the homepage. ill let you come to your own conclusions, but for some reason i found it very entertaining.
and as everyone here locally probably knows (probably knows more than i do), kevin o'neill, with whom i worked with in mornings at dvd between the time the rocky show got canned and when i quit to re-join the rocky show, just got replaced in the mornings at dvd after 9 months of 'filling in'. kevin is a great guy with a spectacular work ethic and a great attitude, and it really sucks that he was strung along there with the possibility of doing mornings permanently for so long. hes currently doing traffic updates in the morning, which he is just way too overqualified for. i dont know what the plan for the long run is, but i hope he ends up in a good stable environment. i could go on and on about this, but as this is a semi-public forum, thats all im going to say about that for now. and it looks like i left at a pretty good time, because some bad stuff has gone down at the abc fms in detroit in the last week. people have been comparing abc to clear channel. thats never good. im surprised they had enough foresight to do the downsizing in november instead of december. enough from radio world for now. am
